Soroptimist Festival of Trees

 

Soroptimist International of Hanford holds its only fundraiser, the Festival of Trees, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The generous support of local businesses through financial sponsorships and tree sponsorships, and the support of those attending the event, provide the means for the club's charitable work. More than six hundred people attend the Festival of Trees and the event has become a holiday tradition for families in the community.

 

The largest hall at the Kings County Fairground is transformed into a magical place where the artistic talent and spirit of giving in our community come alive. Tree sponsors put together amazing decorations and gifts and every year the displays get better and better. Guests purchase opportunity tickets for the chance to win the tree of their choice from the forty trees available.

Two of the most popular trees at the event are the "Restaurant Trees". These trees are decorated with gift certificates donated by local restaurants.
